Abstract
The main purpose of the thesis is to investigate the relationship between perfectionists and burn out, using living calling and workaholic as mediators. When perfectionists are influenced by living calling, they will reduce burnout and are more willing to sacrifice their time to work. The research shows that perfectionists are affected by the mediator of living calling at first, and soon after be mediated by workaholics. The sequential mediation effect is shown in complete mediation and burnout increases strongly at this time.
This study used scales developed by scholars as a survey tool for questionnaires to explore the phenomenon of burnout in the workplace through questionnaire surveys. The research target is people with work experience. The research contains the 231 valid samples for performing reliability correlation, regression, and process to discuss the research results in-depth and give practical suggestions to the industry.
The major finding as follows:
1. There is no significant correlation between perfectionists and burnout.
2. The living calling will mediate the relationship between perfectionists and burnout.
3. A workaholic will mediate the relationship between perfectionists and burnout.
4. The living calling and workaholic will through the effect of sequential mediation completely mediate the relationship between perfectionists and burnout.
