鑽石人人喜愛，女人尤甚。此次以天然鑽石和實驗室生長鑽石作為研究的主題，乃基於在珠寶市場的配戴，與實驗室生長的鑽石在工業上的貢獻，前者使人愉悅，後者則促進工業的創新發展，各有用途；使用得當，益處良多；反之，則造成很大的傷害。
　　研究者從事珠寶鑑定工作，以近幾年天然鑽石和實驗室生長鑽石的發展，在珠寶市場上時有爭議，因此以之作為研究的課題。除了廣為收集資料，找尋更多佐證，而不會流於主觀。
　　本研究首先以SWOT分析，將天然鑽石與實驗室生長鑽石這兩種相似卻不同的物品，在珠寶與工業上的優劣得失，其特性與差異進行分析；再進一步透過市場問卷調查，蒐集790份樣本，探討社會大眾對天然鑽石與實驗室生長鑽石的認知與偏好。
　　藉由本研究者之鑑定技術、產業分析、以及實際問卷調查，針對珠寶市場狀況進行探討，並就天然鑽石與實驗室生長鑽石的爭議，提出客觀的分析結果，秉持專業倫理，不混淆視聽、不流於欺瞞，期讓普羅大眾對鑽石有更深的瞭解認識，並對珠寶產業未來發展提供具體建議。

　　Diamonds are highly coveted, especially for women. In this research, considering their popularity in the jewelry market and industrial uses, the researcher selected natural diamonds and synthetic diamonds as the subjects of the study. People are delighted by the former while industry innovations and developments are promoted by the latter. If used properly, there are many benefits; otherwise, they will cause great harm.
　　The researcher is engaged in jewelry appraisal. In recent years, the development of natural diamonds and synthetic diamonds in the jewelry are cause of debate in the jewelery market, so the researcher selected this as the research topic. The research shows extensive data collection and objective supporting evidence instead of subjective opinions.
In this study, through SWOT analysis, the researcher first analyzed the advantages and disadvantages, as well as the characteristics and differences of natural diamonds versus synthetic diamonds. Then, through a market questionnaire survey, 790 effective samples were collected to explore the public's perception and preference for natural diamonds and synthetic diamonds. Through the author’s methodology, analysis on industry developments, and questionnaire analysis.
　　The researcher focused on the issues of the jewelry market, and the disputes between natural diamonds and synthetic diamonds to provide objective analysis. Through these efforts, the researcher hopes to clear up any confusion and provide the general public a deeper understanding about diamonds and to propose specific suggestions for the future development of the jewelry industry.
