隨著近年來的科技發展,我們手上擁有之攝影器材如手機、相機等等功能日益進步,世界現在充斥的照片和圖像一切都與畫面之呈現有關。但人們似乎越來越在意照片與圖像之美感與濾鏡等外在因素而非照片的本質,而可以見得的是,現代攝影界更注重商業層次之攝影,而紀實類型之攝影則越發沒落。
如今的社交媒體更關注的是圖片之色調或濾鏡和排版的一致性,圖像在廣告和社交網絡(如Instagram、TikTok 等)中的使用意圖多為用於藝術或傳遞訊息,而非表現人文以及圖像背後之意涵導向的紀實攝影。如今紀實攝影鮮少出現在相關的社交軟件和媒體中。有鑒於上述種種原因,此研究旨在探討紀實攝影及其衍生之問題與流派,透過紀實攝影界之傳奇-亨利·卡提爾·布列松(Henri Cartier-Bresson)之作品反思紀實攝影鏡頭下的現實生活,探討紀實攝影之沿革以及其存在之問題並進行分析。文獻研究法以及描述性研究是本研究主要進行之圭臬,專於鑽研亨利·卡提爾·布列松之理論、理念、以及攝影技法,並於最後得出紀實攝影對於世界之影響以及對後世之貢獻。
Abstract
With the fast advancement of science and technology, the functions of photographic equipment in people's hands, such as mobile phones and cameras, are increasing day by day. The world is filled with various styles of photos and images on media, and everything is related to the presentation of images. But people seem to pay more and more attention to external factors such as the aesthetic presentation and filters of photos and images rather than the essence of photos. It can be seen that the modern photography world pays more attention to commercial photography, while documentary photography is declining.
Today's social media is more concerned with the color tone of the image or the consistency of filters and typography, the use of images in advertising and social networks (such as Instagram, TikTok, etc.) is mostly intended for artistic or messaging, rather than performance documentary photography guided by the humanities and the meaning behind the images. Today, documentary photography rarely appears in related social media. In view of this, this thesis aims to study documentary photography and its derived issues and genres, reflect on the real life under the lens of documentary photography through the works of the legendary documentary photographer- Henri Cartier-Bresson, and explore the evolution of documentary photography and its existing problems and analyze them. This research adopts the method of document analysis and descriptive research, which is devoted to the study of Henri-Cartier-Bresson's theories, ideologies, and photographic techniques, and finally concludes the contribution and influence of documentary photography to the world.
