台灣建築業缺工及勞力斷層問題已是長年問題，近兩年更因台商回流推升建廠及住房需求，而勞動力老化退休等，更加深了缺工問題的力道，若再沒有積極作為及對策，那麼不僅僅是影響建築產業問題，若連公共工程都受到影響，台灣整體經濟將會面臨很大的衝擊。
本研究以建築行業中極其重要的一環—泥作業為探討主軸，透過深度訪談，藉由幾位業界資深専業業者長年的關注與觀察，提供具體的建議，希望由政府與業界共同努力，使台灣缺工問題得以改善，並共同打造専業匠人的形象，使其獲得應有的尊重與待遇。
本研究另一項重點為泥作統包商K公司，在面臨市場缺工衝擊、內部經營權變動、市場需求擴大的情況下，應如何作出有效的調整策略。本研究將先審視K公司現行的策略，再透過訪談、五力分析、資源基礎觀點(RBV)、多角化經營等等的評估，釐清K公司內外部條件，最終再藉由SWOT交叉分析，做出策略定位調整，以提供K公司未來短中長期策略參考。

Since the labor shortage and labor gap has been a long-standing concern in the construction industry in Taiwan, and the return of Taiwanese businessmen to push up the demand of construction and housing for the past two years. Furthermore, the aging workforce and retirement factors also increase the labor shortage problem, if we do not take an action or adopt any effective strategy, not only will affect the construction industry, but also public construction works are affected, and it will leads to a great impact to Taiwan's overall economy.
This study focuses on one of the most important aspects of the construction industry, masonry. Through interviewing with several experienced professionals of this industry, by their observations and suggestions, we hope that the government and the industry will cooperate to get the improvement of Taiwan's labor shortage issue, and work together to build an image of craftsmanlike labors so that they will be given the respect and treatment they deserve.
Another focus in this study is on how to effectively adjust the strategy of Company K, a masonry subcontractor, in face of the impact of labor shortage, changes of internal management rights and expanding market demand. This study will first examine the current strategy of Company K, then go for interviews, Five Force Analysis, Resource Based View (RBV), Multi-angle Operation and other assessments, clarify the internal and external conditions of Company K. Finally, use SWOT cross-analysis, then strategic positioning adjustments will be made to provide reference for Company K's future short-, medium-, and long-term strategies.
