高雄港貨櫃裝卸量曾經排名全球第三名，重要性當然是舉世矚目的，但隨著世界各國全力發展港口設施，雖然排名下滑至16名，但貨櫃裝卸量依然持續成長，加上國內台中港、台北港及基隆港港貨櫃裝卸量也呈現大幅成長，港區環保業相關業務也相對的成長許多，因此在港區性質大致相同的作業模式下，讓個案公司萌生跨足其他港區業務擴展策略之研究討論。
台灣的經濟好壞，可以從港區貨櫃裝卸量及港區垃圾清運量看出，可見港區環保業是相當重要的一環。近年來因為疫情問題造成世界各國港口塞港情形下，的確造成世界經濟很大的混亂影響，而港區環保清運業若無法快速完成清運工作，也會影響到貨櫃裝卸及運輸上的延遲，雖然個案公司規模較小，不過對貨櫃公司影響卻會無限延伸的大。
個案公司在高雄港經營環保清運業已將近40年之久，有很好的績效及好口碑，透過此SWOT策略研究為基礎，分析個案公司適合的優勢與機會，選出對個案公司最佳策略，以及個案公司的劣勢與威脅，每個面向都是相互牽動的。並進使用波特產業五力分析：「供應商、消費者、替代品、潛在競爭者及現有競爭者」分析目前港區大環境，俗話說「知己知彼，百戰百勝」，透過文獻分析及訪談方式了解個案公司的優勢及弱點，找出個案公司最佳的經營模式。確認研究動機與主要研究目的後，個案公司該以何種方式擴展版圖至高雄港以外的其他港口。

The container handling volume of Kaohsiung Port once ranked third in the world, and its importance is of course attracting worldwide attention. However, with the development of port facilities in various countries in the world, although the ranking has dropped to 16th, the container handling volume is still growing. In addition, the domestic Taichung Port, Taipei Port, and Keelung Port are also showing a substantial growth in container handling, and the related business of the environmental protection industry in the port area has also grown a lot. Therefore, under the operation mode with similar nature to the port area, the case company has come up with the idea to expand its business in other port areas. The research discusses strategies.
Taiwan’s economy can be assessed by the container loading and unloading volume in the port area and the garbage removal volume in the port area. It can be considered that the environmental protection industry in the port area is a very important part. In recent years, the situation of port congestion around the world due to the epidemic has indeed caused a great chaotic impact on the world economy. If the environmental protection in the port area cannot be done quickly, it will also lead to delays in container loading, unloading, and transportation. Although the scale of the case company is small, the impact on the container company will be extended indefinitely.
The case company has been operating in environmental protection in Kaohsiung Port for nearly 40 years and has a good performance and reputation. Based on this SWOT strategy research, it analyzes the advantages and opportunities suitable for the case company and selects the best strategy as well as the weaknesses and threats. Each aspect affects the other. Additionally, we use Porter's five forces analysis of the industry: "Suppliers, consumers, substitutes, potential competitors, and existing competitors" to analyze the current situation of the port area. Through literature analysis and interviews, we can understand the strengths and weaknesses of the case company and find out the best business model for them. After confirming the research motivation and main research purpose, the question to be solved is how the case company should expand its business to other ports besides Kaohsiung.
