本研究採用資源保存理論觀點,探討下班後主管使用通訊軟體交辦公務對員工之情緒耗竭及工作拖延的影響,並檢驗完美主義對於情緒耗竭與工作拖延間關係之調節效果。本研究採用經驗抽樣法進行每日兩次,連續五個工作日之問卷蒐集,共有188筆有效配對資料來自於85位全職員工。研究結果發現:(1) 下班後主管使用通訊軟體交辦公務之緊急性對情緒耗竭有正向顯著影響。(2) 下班後主管使用通訊軟體交辦公務之重要性對情緒耗竭有負向顯著影響。(3) 情緒耗竭對工作拖延有正向顯著影響。(4) 情緒耗竭對下班後主管使用通訊軟體交辦公務之緊急性與工作拖延間的關係不具中介效果。(5) 情緒耗竭對下班後主管使用通訊軟體交辦公務之重要性與工作拖延間的關係具有部分中介效果。(6) 完美主義會強化情緒耗竭與工作拖延之間的正向關係。最後,本研究依據上述之研究結果,提出管理實務意涵與未來研究建議。 |
Abstract |
Based on Conservation of Resources Theory (COR), this study explored if the supervisor’s assignment through after-hours ICT messages influences an employee’s emotional exhaustion and procrastination at work. In addition, this study examined whether perfectionism moderates the relationship between emotional exhaustion to procrastination at work. This study used the experience sampling methodology to collect questionnaires twice daily for five consecutive workdays. There are 188 daily surveys obtained from 85 full-time employees. The results showed that: (1) The urgency of the supervisor’s assignment through after-hours ICT messages is significantly positively correlated with emotional exhaustion. (2) The importance of the supervisor’s assignment through after-hours ICT messages is significantly negatively correlated with emotional exhaustion. (3) Emotional exhaustion is significantly positively correlated with procrastination at work. (4) Emotional exhaustion does not mediate the relationship between the urgency of the supervisor’s assignment through after-hours ICT messages and procrastination at work. (5) Emotional exhaustion partially mediates the relationship between the importance of the supervisor’s assignment through after-hours ICT messages and procrastination at work. (6) Perfectionism will strengthen the positive effect of emotional exhaustion on procrastination at work. The implications, limitations, and recommendations for future research are discussed. |
