    摘要(中) 本研究結合高層理論與動態競爭理論,探討高階經營團隊(top management team, TMT)風險傾向與競爭積極性的關係,以及競爭積極性在TMT風險傾向與組織績效間扮演的中介角色。同時,本研究也檢測知覺競爭張力在TMT風險傾向與競爭積極性之間的調節效果。本研究分析單位為廠商層次,研究母體為台灣經濟新報(TEJ)資料庫收錄的1,800家上市、上櫃與興櫃企業,經運用調查法郵寄問卷予企業高階主管,並多次催收、篩選後,最終以148家企業、377位TMT成員的有效回覆資料做為分析樣本。
       本研究使用結構方程式中的確認性因素分析(confirmatory factor analysis, CFA)進行整體模型的配適度檢測,並運用SPSS中的層級迴歸分析進行研究假說檢定。分析結果顯示,本研究的理論模型具有良好配適度,研究假說也全數獲得支持。具體地說,當TMT的風險傾向越高,企業發動競爭活動的積極性也越高;企業的競爭積極性越高,組織的績效表現越好;競爭積極性則在TMT風險傾向與組織績效之間扮演完全中介的角色。另一方面,知覺競爭張力在TMT風險傾向與競爭積極性之間也具有正向的調節效果。
      本研究具有重要的理論、方法與實務意涵。首先,本研究整合高層理論與動態競爭理論,檢視競爭積極性與知覺競爭張力在TMT風險傾向與組織績效之間的中介與干擾角色,這個議題在理論上具有重要價值、然目前的文獻仍未加以探討,因此,本研究填補了重要的理論缺口。其次,本研究在資料的蒐集與分析上整合了初級與次級資料,提高了研究結果的效度。最後,本研究也提出實務意涵與未來研究建議,供企業與未來研究者進一步探討之參考。
    摘要(英) This study employs the upper-echelons and competitive dynamics perspectives to examine the relationship between TMT risk propensity and competitive aggressiveness, as well as the mediating role of competitive aggressiveness between TMT risk propensity and firm performance. It also explores how perceived competitive tension moderates the relationship between TMT risk propensity and competitive aggressiveness. The unit of analysis in this research is at the firm level. Survey method and random sampling approach were applied to collect TMT information from 1,800 TSE, OTC, and ROTC firms listed in TEJ database in Taiwan. Structural equation modeling and hierarchical regression analyses were utilized to analyze the final sample collected from 377 TMT members in 148 firms. The analytical findings show that the theoretical model fits with the data well, and all of the hypotheses were supported. Specifically, TMT risk propensity is found to be positively related with competitive aggressiveness, which in turn is positively related with firm performance. Competitive aggressiveness also completely mediates the relationship between TMT risk propensity and firm performance. Moreover, perceived competitive tension plays a positive moderating role on the relationship between TMT risk propensity and competitive aggressiveness.
      This study has significant theoretical, methodological and practical implications. First, an integration of the upper-echelons and competitive dynamics theories to explore the associations among TMT risk propensity, perceived competitive tension, competitive aggressiveness, and firm performance, this study probes a theoretically-significant yet unexplored topics in the literature. Second, by collecting both primary and secondary data to analyze the proposed topic, the study increases the validity of research findings. Practical implications and future directions are also proposed for future application and exploration.
