Abstract
With the rapid development of financial technology, digital-only banks have emerged as an innovative financial service model. This study investigates the behavioral intentions of different generations toward using digital-only banks, employing the extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) combined with the perceived risk theory. A total of 317 questionnaires were distributed, with 298 valid responses collected. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS, including descriptive statistics, reliability and validity analysis, regression analysis, and moderation effect analysis. The key findings are as follows:
1. Performance expectancy has a significant positive effect on behavioral intention.
2. Facilitating conditions have a significant positive effect on behavioral intention.
3. Habit has a significant positive effect on behavioral intention.
4. Psychological risk has a significant negative effect on behavioral intention.
5. In terms of age, performance expectancy and effort expectancy show
significant differences between generations.
6. In terms of gender, effort expectancy and privacy risk show significant
differences.
7. In terms of user experience, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating
conditions, hedonic motivation, price value, habit, behavioral intention, performance risk, psychological risk, and time risk all show significant differences.
8. Experience moderates the relationship between habit and behavioral intention.
Based on the research results, this study aims to provide financial institutions with insights for implementing differentiated marketing strategies and personalized services for customers across different age groups, genders, and usage experiences. These findings are expected to enhance the adoption rate and user satisfaction of digital-only banks, thereby promoting the sustainable development of digital finance in Taiwan.
