Abstract
In he ealm of academic research, the issues stemming from long working hours have emerged as a prominent subject, garnering widespread attention and discourse. While numerous studies have endeavored to analyze the direct impacts of long working hours on individual well-being,research concerning its effects through various psychological mechanisms remains relatively sparse. This study aims to delve into two primary research objectives: whether long working hours Mediating Mechanisms individual life satisfaction with influence on vigor and psychological distress.Conducted via a questionnaire survey targeting full-time employees, a total of 337 valid responses were collected. The findings of this study indicate that psychological distress and vigor serve as mediating factors between long working hours and life satisfaction. pecifically, when employees work excessively long hours, they may experience psychological distress such as stress, fatigue, and anxiety, which indirectly diminishes their overall satisfaction with life. Simultaneously, prolonged working hours deplete employees' energy and vigor, thereby negatively impacting their overall satisfaction with life, highlighting the potential adverse effects of long working hours on employee life satisfaction.
