本技術報告旨在探究當代原住民族狩獵用槍枝，就目前部落族人較廣泛使用並為政府法規認可，以「工業用打釘槍空包彈」(俗稱喜得釘)為動力之自製獵槍為例。研究方法採「行動研究」，包含文獻研析、參與觀摩、深度訪談、網路輿談、實物製做並取得槍證，再到研改獲得專利。從零到有的創作歷程，深研當代原住民族自製獵槍的歷史、現有類別、文化定位及社會觀感；接著探尋非普遍食用野生動物的現代族人，除了延續狩獵傳統之外，自製獵槍的其它用途與發展可能，企建構當代部落之狩獵文化中，有關自製獵槍的知識體系。鑑於警政機關與社會輿論，所關切的槍枝安全與存廢議題，本研究透過實體製做、測試及研改，另走訪部落與文獻研析，創作的主軸係運用科學的方法，用實驗、測評及記錄自製獵槍的性能諸元及安全標準，已充分掌握相關機械特性及能力、故障排除與人為防處等技術資訊。接繼研究的發展，期望能策編專屬原住民自製獵槍的「操作及安全手冊」，並建言政府立案同意設置「部落小型靶場」，強化狩獵族人使用槍枝的訓練，另建請政府檢討修訂自製獵槍相關法規，以點、線、面的維度，全面提升族人對於槍枝安全的素養，消彌社會大眾對於自製獵槍的鄙慮，永續原住民族狩獵文化的傳承。

The purpose of this technical report is to explore the use of homemade hunting guns by contemporary indigenous peoples. Homemade hunting guns, powered by industrial nail gun blank ammunition (commonly known as Xide nails), are widely used by tribal hunters and are sanctioned by government regulations. The research methodology employed in this study includes action research, which involves document analysis, participant observation, in-depth interviews, online public discussions, the physical production of these guns, and obtaining a gun license. This process also involves research, innovation and modifications that ultimately led to obtaining a patent. The report delves into the creative process from inception to completion, examining the history, existing categories of guns, cultural positioning, and social perception of self-made hunting guns among contemporary indigenous peoples. Additionally, it explores the changing hunting practices of modern tribesmen, particularly in relation to the decline in the consumption of wild animals.
In addition to preserving the hunting tradition, the various uses and development possibilities of self-made hunting guns contribute to constructing a knowledge system within the hunting culture of contemporary indigenous peoples. Given the concerns of police agencies and public opinions regarding gun safety and the preservation and disposal of firearms, this research involves the making, innovating, testing and modification of these guns, along with visits to tribes and literature analysis. The primary focus of this study is to apply scientific methods to experiment, evaluate, and document the performance factors and safety standards of homemade hunting guns. This includes mastering technical information such as relevant mechanical characteristics, troubleshooting, and safety precautions. In this technical report, I propose the creation of an “Operation and Safety Manual” for indigenous people's self-made hunting guns. I also demonstrate an easily constructed “tribal shooting range” and recommend that the government approve its establishment. This initiative would encourage tribes to implement it, enhancing the training of indigenous hunters in in firearm use. urthermore, I advocate for the government to review and revise the laws and regulations related to homemade hunting guns to comprehensively improve the gun safety literacy of indigenous peoples. This would address public concerns, eliminate the stigma associated with homemade hunting guns, and ensure the continued preservation of indigenous hunting culture.
