Abstract |
This paper highlights the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental, social and governance (ESG) in high level recruitment. Previous research is lacking specifically considering middle or upper management recruiting. This paper attempts to rectify this shortcoming by reviewing the aforementioned concepts and key literature. The relevance of CSR and ESG engagement and reporting on recruitment needs of the future becomes apparent quickly, as organizations are heavily incentivized to take CSR and ESG seriously not only for their investors. As shown in this thesis, they should also consider the impact on recruiting, as managers of the future will be of younger generations, who require new strategies to acquire and keep. |
