Abstract |
This thesis explains the coalition political development relationship between the Philippines and the United States. During this development process, the Philippines has a record of leaving and rejoining military alliances many times. To explain why the Philippines, as a small country, behaves in alliance politics, this paper adopts the viewpoint of "neoclassical realism" and believes that in military alliances, decision-makers will face the alliance dilemma of national security and national autonomy and sometimes cannot. Therefore, the final decision of policymakers depends on the state of the international structure and the judgment of those in power influenced by domestic political factors. This thesis will adopt the case study method and carry on the examination with the method of process tracking. |
