Abstract |
From political and economic perspectives, this thesis examines the phenomenon of leaving Mainland China of many Taiwanese technology firms in recent years. Drawing on existing research (including the Eclectic theory, Porter's Diamond model, and Flying Geese paradigm) and conducting in-depth interviews with four representatives from reputable Taiwanese enterprises (Taishang), this paper sheds light on the factors driving their relocation decisions. The research results reveal that political fluctuations, particularly the US-China trade war, have strongly affected Taiwanese electronic enterprises, prompting them to shift their factories to Vietnam. Moreover, the study confirms that Vietnam possesses exceptional development advantages, such as favorable geography, abundant labor resources, and socio-political stability, making it one of the most attractive investment destinations in Southeast Asia. Finally, the author provides suggestions for the Vietnamese government and Taishang desiring to do business in Vietnam to improve and overcome the country’s limitations. |
