疼痛是大部分病患看病的主要病症之一，在美國看醫生求診的患者有半數是因為肢體的疼痛。依據疼痛維持的時間長短、強弱、感覺（如針刺感、灼熱感、麻木感等）、部位等來診斷其嚴重度。「急性」疼痛如果不是重症通常經過簡單的止痛處理後就可能消退。但如果是「慢性」疼痛就已經是變成一種病症；如果沒有好好處理則患者不只是承受疼痛的不適，長期下來對於中樞神經、內分泌、消化、循環、呼吸、自主神經甚至精神等系統多會有不良的影響，有些疼痛甚至是與某些致命的疾病有關的一種警訊。
目前治療慢性疼痛最常見方法西醫有緩解疼痛的藥物，如非類固醇抗發炎藥，普拿疼，皮質類固醇，以及抗痙攣劑等藥物。較侵入性治療包括微電流刺激法、神經傳導阻滯、熱頻燒灼甚至手術開刀。在中醫的治療方法則有：中藥方劑、針灸、推拿、拔罐等，其他另外有輔助性醫療或另類醫療，如精神療法、花精或精油療法、放鬆治療、生物性反饋、行為改變技術、太極拳、靜坐冥想、按摩等。
疼痛管理又稱為疼痛醫學、疼痛治療或疼痛控制，算是現代醫學的一個分支，它整合了包括骨科、復健、神經內科、麻醉、疼痛、風濕免疫、中醫等多個科別以減輕罹患慢性疼痛患者所受的痛苦，並改善患者的生活品質。
本論文主旨在探討基層診所具有中西醫雙執照的執業醫師，在排除民眾對中醫或西醫疼痛治療的疑慮及既有的基層及大型醫療機構的雙重競爭壓力之下，發展出具有中西醫整合的微創疼痛治療模式，提供就醫民眾在單一醫療機構就有良好的中西整合醫療照護，這種創新疼痛治療模式在基層診所的經營發展是否更具有競爭優勢。我們透過五A模式分析、SWOT分析、鑽石理論及商業模式九宮格分析來剖析這樣結構的K整合醫學診所的疼痛治療創新模式有哪些優劣勢並提供檢討意見及改善策略作為基層開業醫師或投資者參考。

Pain problem is one of the most common symptoms finding in the clinics. In America half of the patients visit doctor for the problems of pain. We can evaluate the severity of pain by the onset duration, intensity, character and location of pain site. Acute pain if it is not a severe disease naturally will pass away soon, using simple pain treatment skills such as medication or massage will relief acute pain. Unfortunately, chronic pain makes things tuff. Inappropriate treatment of chronic pain also will affect the normal function of multiple body organ systems and mental problems even life threatening.
For chronic pain treatment, western medicine offers pain relief drugs such as: NSAID ,steroid, muscle relaxant ,antidepression drugs etc. More invasive methods used in western medicine include electrical stimulation, nerve block, radiofrequency coagulation pain therapy, or even surgery. Traditional Chinese medicine has its methods for pain relief, such as Chinese medicinal formulae, acupuncture, chiropractic, cupping etc. Sometimes alternation medicine (psychotherapy, biofeedback, behavior modification, Tai chi…) works for pain relief.
Pain management also called pain medicine, pain control or algiatry. It is one branch of medical sciences. Pain management must integrate with multiple specialties for relief patients’ pain problem and improve their life quality.
This paper explores not to consider patients’ worry about treatment of pain by western or traditional Chinese medicine and meet the competition stress from hospitals or clinics. If a doctor has board of western and traditional Chinese medicine and develops a new integration medicines and skills for pain relief. This pain treatment model applies in a new clinic such as K clinic setting as a pain treatment center has its entering primary medical market benefit or not. We applied 5A analysis, SWOT analysis, Diamond theory and Business Model Canvas for discussion. The result will provide to the new setting clinics or investors for reference.
