新冠疫情的來襲為全球人與人的流通按上暫停鍵,全球經濟皆因此受到不小的打擊,面對到大環境的變動種種無法預期的變化考驗著企業面對突發狀況的應變能力。以往對於策略觀點的研究較著重於企業由內而外的資源基礎觀點所形成的核心競爭力,進而達成組織目標及創造顧客的價值;然而在現今無論是產業環境的快速變化抑或是全球皆無法抵擋及預測的新冠疫情之下,企業組織必須擁有快速反應市場的能耐。十年磨一劍,本研究將運用資源基礎理論探討經營27餘年個案M公司的核心能耐,並探討其如何透過數位轉型提升自身的動態能力以因應大環境的變動及衝擊。
  本研究旨在從資源基礎理論的角度,探討M公司的核心能耐在面對變動環境下產生企業動態能力的實務策略。並透過文獻探討及訪談發現數位轉型與動態能力是同時進行與提升的,而核心能力的積累與動態能力的提升是因應變動環境的關鍵,企業需要透過整合現有資源,不斷創新並發掘新的商業價值。
  本研究發現,企業的核心能力是保持經營穩定和持續發展的基本要件。然而,核心能力本身可能不足以因應外部環境所帶來的挑戰,企業需要透過各環節的努力提升其動態能力,以適應市場和供應鏈的變化。企業經營需要不斷評估其核心能力,只有擁有足夠的核心資源及能力提前布局,讓企業得以可以更好地應對數位時代的挑戰,提升企業的動態能力和綜合競爭力,實現長期的健康發展。
Abstract
The onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic pressed the pause button on global human mobility, significantly impacting the global economy. Facing these changes and unpredictable variations in the environment, companies were put to the test in their ability to adapt to sudden crises. Previous research on strategic perspectives focused more on core competencies developed through the resource-based view from within the organization, aiming to achieve organizational goals and create customer value. However, in today's fast-changing industrial environment and the uncontrollable and unpredictable nature of the COVID-19 pandemic on a global scale, businesses must possess the ability to respond quickly to market changes.
  This study will employ the resource-based theory to explore the core competencies of Company M, which has been operating for over 27 years, and investigate how it enhances its dynamic capabilities through digital transformation to cope with environmental changes and disruptions.
  The aim of this research is to examine, from the perspective of the resource-based theory, the practical strategies of Company M in developing dynamic capabilities to respond to a changing environment. Through literature review and interviews, we find that digital transformation and dynamic capabilities are mutually reinforcing. The accumulation of core competencies and the enhancement of dynamic capabilities are critical in responding to changes in the environment. Businesses need to continuously integrate existing resources, innovate, and explore new business value.
  This research reveals that a company's core competencies are essential for maintaining stable operations and sustained development. However, core competencies alone might not be sufficient to meet the challenges posed by the external environment. Companies need to put effort into enhancing their dynamic capabilities in various aspects to adapt to market and supply chain changes. Continuous evaluation of core competencies is necessary in business operations. Only by having sufficient core resources and capabilities, can companies proactively face the challenges of the digital era, enhance their dynamic capabilities and overall competitiveness, and achieve long-term sustainable development.
