Abstract
According to the survey, cell phone addiction is a critical issue. Students who spend more than two hours on the Internet playing games have insomnia. In turn, students are late to class, dozing off in class, and doing or performing unwell in academic performance. This study established the research questions through preliminary interviews with students and observation on teaching occasions. This study investigated the current status of cell phone addiction among technical high school students and analyzed the correlation between grades to both parents' and teachers' management. The data obtained was analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent sample t-checking, one-way variance analysis, correlation, and multiple regression.
The following conclusions were obtained from this research. (1) There was no significance in different teachers' and parents' discipline on student grades. (2) In terms of usage habits, there was a significant difference between the length of time students used cell phones at home and their grades. (3) Mobile internet plan will not influence students' grades.
