Abstract |
To explore the relationships among work engagement, turnover intention, person- supervisor fit as a mediator, and the moderating effects of curiosity and grit. Data were collected from employees in an indirect department of a renowned Taiwanese electronic component manufacturer. With a total of 253 questionnaires, out of which 201 valid questionnaires were recovered. The hypotheses were tested using SPSS 28.0 and Mplus to examine the correlations among the five variables. The findings revealed the following results: 1. Work engagement was found to have a negative impact on turnover intention. 2. Person-supervisor fit was found to strengthen the relationship between work engagement and turnover intention. 3. Grit was found to moderate the relationship between person-supervisor fit and turnover intention, with the strength of the relationship increasing as grit levels increase. 4. Curiosity was found not to moderate the relationship between person-supervisor fit and turnover intention. Keywords: Work engagement, person-supervisor fit, turnover intention, curiosity, grit |
